Here’s another beautiful Engagement Session in New York City. I loved Jessica’s & Theresa’s energy as we adventured in NYC to find some great spots for this photoshoot. We started the shoot around the NYC West side and looked for cool graffiti walls, then headed to their rooftop to continue the shoot, which had a perfect mix of city-urban-industrial and great views of the New York City Skyline.
Sometimes the least expected locations make for really cool backgrounds. Whether that’s a warehouse door, the back door of a commercial building, glass walls at a boutique store, or exposed brick from an old building, it’s the actual shot – the raw emotion – combined with the perfect background that created a beautiful composition for this photoshoot. I always tell my couples, the location for your engagement session should reflect your personalities, who you are, and in this case these locations did just that.
So far, 2016 has been a year of the most creative and fun engagement sessions and weddings. I’m only halfway through the year and I can’t wait for what the rest of the year brings! So far, this year I’ve gotten to meet amazing couples and gotten to do engagement photoshoots in all sorts of locations -mansions, buildings, parks, beaches, museums, train stations, graffiti walls, bridges – my job never gets boring- and I love that.
