I was excited Mia & Jody’s wedding would take place at the Crabtree’s Kittle House as it’s not a traditional wedding reception location, it actually has a lot of history! Although they’ve been hosting weddings since the 80’s, The Kittle House was born as a barn in 1790. The building has ‘classic’ and ‘elegant’ written all over it and its green areas really evoke a magical garden feel that made Mia & Jody’s wedding unique, intimate and of course, fun. Mia & Jody’s Crabtree’s Kittle House wedding had everything a summer wedding should have: warm weather, fun guests and a great location! though we caught some rain, some say it’s only good luck!
I started the day photographing Mia & Jody getting ready. The Kittle House had the nicest suites I’ve seen lately -lots of space and beautiful natural light! After seeing each other in one of the gardens for the first time, we went to the main garden for their outdoor wedding ceremony when right in the middle of it, the sky opened up and started pouring!! Nothing adds more excitement than the unexpected. We had to literally run to the main reception room to take cover and continue with the ceremony – gladly, it stopped raining shortly after, the sun came up and with the sound of fantastic Croatian music they danced the night away.
From Mia’s stunning dress and makeup by The Blushery to the toasts and cheer among their family & friends, this was an incredible day. Mia & Jody, I’m very honored to have been part of this.
Here are some of my favorites!
